This battery holder holds 6 AA batteries. With fresh alkaline batteries, this will provide 9V. With rechargables, it will provide about 7.2V.
This will provide enough current to run two motors when being used with the Bricktronics Shield.
This contains a 6 AA battery holder and a 5.5/2.1mm DC plug, great for plugging into Arduinos.
Batteries are not included.
To connect the DC plug to the battery holder requires two solder connections.
If you purchase the unassembled version, it requires basic through-hole soldering skills. You'll need a soldering iron, and solder. Even though there are only two connections, clear instructions are available.
It usually takes less than ten minutes to build, but it may take more or less time depending upon your experience with soldering.
